I’ve been gone awhile…. Busy with a few projects the last few months and am done now. I’ve continued to practice my handstand and posted on Instagram so feel free to check it out.
Here are the last three days of handstand. Three days in a row.
Day 56:
Sunday was spent mostly in the kitchen. I was doing so many domestic stuff around my place that the idea that I still needed to get to my yoga practice wasn’t really exciting me. I just felt like I had another item to do. Of course as usual, once I get on my mat and get going I have the best time ever. I’ve practiced handstands for 56 days now (not in a row). I see such amazing progress now so I can’t wait to see the advancement as I practice daily and in a few months from now! I’m literally dream about handstands and the new world of poses upside down.
Today, I attempted to practice Ashtanga Yoga again. I used to be in the habit awhile back. I felt lean and my body became really strong and flexible. I was vegetarian then so that could also be why but I’m ready to start my practice/training again. Who is with me?

Day 57: My chiropractor is not available today so this is my 2nd week going without an adjustment. I love being adjusted and fixed more than eating (well maybe not really). I foam roll my back EVERYDAY and it definitely helps. I love this foam roller and I use the extra firm.
Since I was able to get to the studio early, I set up my GoPro and got moving. I already hit the gym in the AM, walked 1.5 miles after lunch and after this quickie inversion sesh, I was going to be teaching a Flow I/II. I wouldn’t have it any other way though. I am increasing my movement because I am trying to lose some fat percentage. Cheers to going upside down.

Day 58: This is tonight. I hit the gym as usual. I’m sore from yesterday (not sure specifically which activity) and did my 1.5 mile at lunch. Now, I’m home and have finished all my chores like a good girl. Ready to flow it on…
I’m pretty exhausted and but yoga every damn day. I don’t practice for a set time or a set sequence. I just do a little bit of everything. Then I always do some inversions. Today specifically, I did some forearm and handstand practices that had me flipping over. Normally that would hurt but not today. I was able to add more control into my practice. I am getting better. I’m having trouble bringing the hips over the shoulders. Not because I don’t know what I am supposed to be doing but let’s say it is a combo of fear and just strength to stop myself.
When I hold the handstand… which is becoming more often now and longer, I am learning. My body is learning what it needs to do. I followed the handstand practice with some backbends and arm balances. I can’t wait to practice again tomorrow. Tomorrow is cardio day which is going to be great.
